2 Ways to Advertise in The Trading Post

#1. "Pay Only if You Sell" Advertising

You agree to give us a four week (four issue) period to help you sell your articles. The number of times your ad will run may vary slightly from four issues due to space available. If the article has not sold after four weeks (four issues), YOU CAN CANCEL THE AD WITHOUT CHARGE. If an ad is changed, it will appear for an additional four week period. You may, however, cancel the item at the end of the original four weeks.

A new ad listing may be cancelled prior to publication by calling us before the Wednesday, 12 noon deadline. If cancelled after the 12 noon deadline, THE FEE WILL BE DUE.

The advertising fee will be due if your article sells, regardless of how, during the full time it is advertised in the paper. All articles must be priced separately. The fee is based on the advertised price, not the selling price.

IF DURING THE FOUR WEEK PERIOD, your article becomes unavailable for sale, you change your mind about selling, cancel for any reason, your phone is disconnected, you move out of the area, you give away or trade the advertised item, THE ARTICLE WILL BE CONSIDERED SOLD AND THE FEE WILL BE DUE.

You agree to notify us when the article is sold.

Advertising fee due upon sale:

10% of the first $100
plus 5% of the second $100
plus 1% of amount of advertised price over $200
Minimum fee $2.00, Maximum fee $50.00

 

#2. Prepaid Advertising

Each item may be advertised with no obligation when you sell. $12 for four issues. No refunds.

Ads placed in the following categories must be pre-paid. Please contact our office for rates and deadline information.
SERVICE & COMMERCIAL, BUSINESS & INVESTMENTS, CLOTHING & JEWELRY, GARAGE & YARD SALES, GENERAL NOTICES, HELP WANTED, SWAPS, WANTED TO BUY, WORK WANTED, SERVICES, REAL ESTATE*, and CHILD CARE.

We reserve the right to limit the length of each ad, the number of ads placed, and the right to determine the classification of advertisements. The Trading Post reserves the right to refuse any listings which are contrary to our policies. The Trading Post is not responsible for the condition of the advertised articles or for composition errors. The Trading Post will not disclose your name or address.
